The Campus

The Bovisa Campus occupies the site of a former industrial gasworks in the Bovisa neighbourhood, north of Milan. The area was transformed following an international urban redevelopment competition launched in 1998 by Politecnico di Milano in collaboration with the Municipality and Region of Lombardy, and today stands as one of the city’s most dynamic academic and creative districts. The campus is easily walkable from Milano Bovisa railway station and is well-served by suburban rail lines connecting it to Milan’s main transport hubs and both city airports.

Aula Carlo de Carli

Completely renovated, the hall seats up to 492 delegates across a ground-level stalls and a telescopic tribune, and features a flexible modular layout that can be reconfigured within minutes — from a full-capacity auditorium to two independent rooms. It is equipped with state-of-the-art audiovisual systems and will serve as the central hub for all plenary lectures throughout the conference.

Take the Malpensa Express train to Milano Bovisa station. Journey time: approx. 40 minutes. The venue is a 5-minute walk from the station.

→ From Linate Airport (LIN)
Take Metro M4 (blue line) to Dateo, then connect to suburban rail lines S1 or S13 to Milano Bovisa station. Journey time: approx. 40 minutes.

→ From Bergamo Orio al Serio Airport (BGY)
Take the shuttle bus to Milan, then metro or train to Milano Bovisa station

Take any suburban train (S9, S11, Malpensa Express) stopping at Milano Bovisa station. Journey time: approx. 10 minutes.

Take any suburban train stopping at Milano Bovisa station. Journey time: approx. 8 minutes.

→ From other Italian cities
Reach Milano Centrale or Milano Porta Garibaldi, then connect to a suburban line to Milano Bovisa.
